Shravan Vidyarthi is a filmmaker and photographer based in New York and his native Nairobi, Kenya. Shravan specializes in comprehensive photo and video coverage for corporations and nonprofits. He has broad experience documenting the issues faced by the developing world.
His photos have appeared in The New York Times, and his clients include The United Nations, GE, and Procter and Gamble.
Shravan's short documentaries have aired on PBS and Current TV, and have screened at The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The National Gallery of Art. His feature documentary, about Kenya’s first Life magazine photographer, has won multiple awards at international film festivals.
He has been a guest lecturer at Vassar College, NYU, and Columbia University, and a Teaching Artist at the Harlem Children's Zone.
Shravan speaks English, French, Swahili and Punjabi.
